Photographs from an actual Northern Allstars encounter in the 1990/91 seaon have been unearthed at our Captain's manor. Even such scant material provides vital clues to the Allstars exemplary approach to the Beautiful Game. | |||||
Allstars warm-up before another crucial league game. Mince about to kill the ball dead from a Shaggy thunderbolt, whilst Andy recovers from Shaggy's previous warm-up "pass" to his beer-soaked head.

Row: left to right: The opposition this day can only have trembled with unbridled panic when faced with this team. Not only would their defence have faced the deadly strike force of Cookie and Shaggy, but the May Twins awaited their own strikers. To say nothing about the Allstars fielding both our goalkeepers! Awesome.

The only remaining photographic evidence of live Northern Allstars league game action. Somehow the photographic department in Asda, Preston managed to produce a spookily 'historic' black&white shot. The May Twins can still be clearly seen with hands menacingly round their hips in the foreground, as the Allstars appear to be attempting a long-throw routine. One can only speculate in horror as to who the "evil footballing genius" was behind this tactical manouvre. To return to Allstars History, click here. |
