Post Match Presentations

The Allstars presentations were made straight after the match and penalty competition. After many impressive displays over the years in an Allstars shirt, John finally won the golden boot courtesy of his 'hat-trick', 2 goals for his team and a magnificent opener for the opposition.

Second up, a 10 Caps award to Max, who proudly receives his DVD copy of Blackpool's incredible 2-1 victory at Anfield earlier that season. Something to watch with his Liverpool supporting son. Jez acts as security, as this much prized recording is unveiled.

Nottingham Races

Ladies Night at Nottingham Racecourse opened 4:10pm, and the first race started at 6pm in glorious summer evening sunshine. The select bunch of Allstars who attended purchased tickets for the Premier Enclosure at £20, and dutifully honoured the instruction: "There is a smart casual dress code for the Premier Enclosure which stipulates no untidy attire, shorts, t-shirts, trainers or Fancy Dress. In hot weather we do allow tailored shorts within the Premier Enclosure". So, no tangerine "It's Shite Down South" football tops then?

John's run of winning continued, netting him a princely profit in the region of £50. The pitch hire is on him in 2012.

To the left is a shot from one of the opening races.

|L to R: Cookie, Shaggy, Mince, Jez, Billy and baby Cookie enjoy the nags.

All agreed the Races were a triumph and a good post-match activity, so may well feature next year with the greyhounds as a poor weather contingency. We can't promise you will all bump into an ex-girlfriend outside that you'd not seen since 1996, as Cookie did though.
