Match Report #2

Fielding Defence

No way through a Fielding defence for Mark.

The first goal was scored by Andrew McKinlay after 6 minutes, playing in fine Allstars tradition with a huge hangover, which seemed to galvanise him to Herculean efforts. If young Charlie had been a little taller, and been able to collect Andrew’s early cross-field quarter-backing passes, Team Sid might have put the game beyond doubt in Q1.

Stan On The Ball

WebMaster Junior brings the ball out libero style.

A tight 2nd Q, illuminated by a spectacular Cookie miss from 5 yards out with only Billy to beat, somehow managing to narrowly miss a corner flag. A charitable interpretation may well be that our honest Sheffield lad had anticipated another controversial offside claim from full-back Max. At the other end Team Billy chances were kept to a minimum by a late career resurgence from centre-back Dave “Des Walker” Eslick performing Cruyff turns and cheeky back-heels, and goalkeeper Sid, who made at one point a “worldy” save down and across to his right from Marky Mark Halliwell.

Mikey runs away

The WebMaster can only laugh as he knows there's no catching Mikey Shaw.
